To be honest, I haven't yet got round to wearing it. I know it will be fine as all my blazers -this is the fourth, but first double-breasted - are all good. It is the hot weather - which I am not comfortable in, as 71°F is perfect for me - but when it cools down it will be the double-breasted with one of my straw boaters which I will wear first. In addition, French cuffs and a nice pair of cufflinks will complete the look.

The style and materialise precisely what I had hoped . Unfortubnately the positioning of the buttons is not quite right woith the result that the top of the overlap on the double best gapes a little spoiling the line. I have not yet had the opportunity to consult a local tailor to see if a correction is possible and, if it is, at what cost. A shame as this was to be my preferred dress for Blind Veterans events during this important anniversary year,

This is a great blazer from the Brook Tavener stable and sold at an excellent well below RRP. My usual size is a 50s, so off to my tailor, adjustments to length and sleeves and all is well. I have no problem in buying oversized if you have a good tailor, you can often save money in the long run. One point to remember is to point out any alterations should you sell at a later date.

We took care with our measurements to select the right size blazer and when it arrived it was a perfect fit. The material is wool so it won’t crease much and is lightweight so will be comfortable to wear. It’s a classic blazer with nice gold buttons and well finished too. Just what my husband wanted.
